Bloom is honored to recognize Brooke Potteiger as our 2024 Foster Parent of the Year! Since becoming a licensed foster parent in January 2024, Brooke has shown unwavering dedication, compassion, and advocacy for the children in her care, making an incredible impact in just her first year.
With nearly a decade of experience in education and a master’s degree in Elementary and Middle School Education from the University of Georgia, Brooke’s background has been a tremendous asset in her role as a foster parent. Her deep commitment to children, combined with her experience as a devoted aunt and faith leader, has helped her provide a nurturing and supportive home for every child placed in her care.
Over the past year, Brooke has fostered four children, two of whom have successfully reunified with their families, while two remain in her loving home.
“Brooke consistently goes above and beyond to advocate for her children’s needs, ensuring they receive the best care and support in every setting,” said Recruitment and Licensing Manager Meagan Bella. “Many of the children she fosters have high needs, yet she meets every challenge with grace, patience, and integrity.”
Beyond her hands-on care, Brooke’s organization and reliability have also made a lasting impression on Bloom’s Family Consultant team. Her timeliness and thoroughness with paperwork are always appreciated, making her a true partner in Bloom’s mission to serve foster children with excellence.
