Bloom is proud to help lead the launch of Resilient West Central Georgia, a new regional coalition of Resilient Georgia, expanding trauma-informed care and resilience-building initiatives across Butts, Henry, Fayette, Lamar, Pike, Rockdale, Spalding, and Upson counties.
Through the leadership of Dr. Katie New, director of Bloom University, Bloom is advancing collaboration among schools, healthcare providers, nonprofits, and community leaders to strengthen mental and behavioral health support for children and families.
Bloom University, our trauma-informed training program, equips caregivers and professionals with practical tools to understand trauma better, reduce stigma, and build resilience. This new coalition expands that impact regionally, increasing access to education, prevention strategies, and coordinated care.
“Through Resilient West Central Georgia, we’re able to coordinate resources, share knowledge, and build a framework for lasting resilience across our communities,” said Dr. Katie New.
Resilient West Central Georgia joins 19 coalitions statewide working to integrate trauma-informed care and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) awareness into every Georgia community by 2030.
