Bloom has taken proactive measures to address their evolving needs by adding meaningful support and training through Bloom University. This program offers trauma-informed and evidence-based training for foster families, foster care staff, birth or adoptive families, and community members who work with children and adolescents.
Most high school boys are busy playing sports or too involved in school to have the time or capacity to raise funds for foster children in need. But McIntosh High School student and Bloom volunteer Krish Sarin made it a priority to find the time to make a difference in his community.

This April, Bloom will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its annual fundraising gala, the Bloom Ball, which benefits Georgia’s foster children. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, April 27, at 6 p.m. and, for the first time, will be held at the Georgia Aquarium.
On August 18th and 19th, 2023 the Bloom Closet Express embarked on a momentous journey to Rabun County, Georgia. This marked our first visit to this region, where we had the incredible opportunity to serve not only the local community but also six surrounding counties. While children of all ages have struggled to catch up academically, children in the foster care system have been inordinately impacted by these educational challenges. This leaves Georgia foster parents asking the question, “how do I help my foster child succeed in school?”
