This year, Bloom opened its second location in Rome, driven by its mission to transform the lives of every foster child in Georgia. Since May, we have witnessed an extraordinary outpouring of support from the area’s individuals, families, businesses, and organizations. We want to express our deepest gratitude to the Rome community for embracing our cause and ensuring the success of our programs and services.

“From the beginning, this community has shown us what it truly means to care for others,” said Devon Smyth, Program Coordinator for the Bloom Closet Rome. “Whether by volunteering their time, donating clothing or simply spreading the word about our work, these efforts have created hope and opportunity for many foster children in need.”

Our neighbors in Rome have helped make a difference in many ways, from the Bonner Scholars at Berry College, who volunteer regularly, to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, who has held an ongoing donation drive to provide much-needed inventory for the Bloom Closet Rome. Since opening in May, the Bloom Closet Rome has served 696 children with 12,621 items distributed at an estimated cost of $90,501.00.

We know that none of this would be possible without the incredible generosity of our supporters in Rome. Together, we are creating a brighter future for the entire community, one child at a time.
