Bloom is proud to announce that it has once again teamed up with Pace Academy, an independent school in Atlanta, to help make a meaningful difference in the lives of foster children. The latest partnership, centered around community involvement and volunteerism, is designed to inspire the students of Pace Academy and bring hope and dignity to the children who will directly benefit from donations.

As part of the partnership, Pace Academy has agreed to serve as a host site for one of Bloom’s outdoor donation receptacles. Families, staff, and students can donate gently used or new clothing and shoes for children of all ages. The collection bin will be placed in Pace’s rear parking lot, making it convenient for the school community to donate to Bloom.

In addition to collecting donations, Pace Academy students will volunteer to promote and manage the clothing drive. Students will sort and organize clothing to prepare the donations for distribution to foster children.

“Pace Academy has a long-standing tradition of encouraging students to engage in the community, and the Bloom collection drive fits perfectly into our broader mission of fostering compassion and global citizenship,” said Pace Academy Head of School Fred Assaf.

Bloom received the collection bin receptacles as part of a Scott Hudgens Family Foundation grant. Through this, Bloom was able to order three custom-branded outdoor donation receptacles to be strategically placed in targeted metro Atlanta counties.

“We greatly appreciate the support of Pace Academy,” said Bloom CEO Becky Davenport. “By taking an active role in this campaign we hope that Pace students will be able to gain experience in community service efforts as well as develop a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by foster children in our community.”

Bloom and Pace Academy have had a long-standing relationship over the years. Pace Academy has organized and participated in a number of donation drives and volunteered with Bloom. Hosting and maintaining the donation receptacle is just the next step in what promises to be an ongoing effort to support foster children in the greater Atlanta area.
