Bloom’s corporate partnerships are key to expanding our impact and ensuring foster children receive the essentials they need. This month, we’re excited to highlight our partnership with Future Forwarding, a third-party logistics (3PL) company that specializes in warehouse and fulfillment management.

Since being introduced to Bloom, Future Forwarding President & CEO, Colin Smith has led his team to go above and beyond to support our mission in numerous ways. From reconfiguring and optimizing the Bloom warehouse space to donating vertical racking, the team from Future Forwarding has brought innovation and resources to help us serve even more foster children. Colin has also sent teams of Future Forwarding volunteers to help in the warehouse. Volunteers recently picked up 125 bins of Bloom’s off-season clothing and are storing them in Future Forwarding’s warehouse until needed, freeing up valuable space in our own facility.

One of Future Forwarding’s most notable contributions has been assisting with Bloom Direct—our new program that ships clothing directly to foster families across the state. Colin and the team from Future Forwarding were able to reduce shipping costs for this program by more than 60%. Additionally, the team at Future Forwarding is currently working on improvements to packaging for Bloom Direct, which could lead to even greater savings in the near future.

“We are deeply grateful for this partnership with Future Forwarding and their commitment to our mission. Their efforts are helping Bloom stretch every dollar further and deliver vital clothing and supplies to children who need them most,” said Bloom President and CEO Becky Davenport.

Thank you, Future Forwarding, for your incredible support and for demonstrating how much can be accomplished when businesses and nonprofits collaborate. Want to join the Bloom community and make a lasting impact? Learn how you can get involved by visiting www.bloomfosters.org/join-our-cause/.
