Ashley and her son Jerome began volunteering with Bloom in May and have quickly become a valued part of the team. Whether they’re sorting donations, pairing shoes, organizing supplies, or making bookmarks for foster children, this mother-son duo brings a warm spirit and strong work ethic to every task.

“We love volunteering at Bloom,” shared Ashley. “All of the staff and volunteers are kind, and we’re all working to ensure a smile on the face of the children and families receiving support.”

For Ashley and Jerome, volunteering has been both meaningful and eye-opening.

Jerome described their time at Bloom in one word: helpful. Not just in the service they provide, but in how it shaped their own perspective. “It’s helped us become more grateful,” said Jerome.

They hope their story inspires others to get involved.

“Bloom is a great place to give back! The hours are flexible, you’ll meet like-minded people, and your work is truly appreciated,” said Ashley.
