Bloom was recently awarded a $750,000 grant from the Joseph B. Whitehead Child Well-Being Fund at the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta. This two-year grant is a powerful investment in Bloom’s future and is specifically designed to expand three of our most impactful programs:
Bloom Direct – delivers urgently needed items directly to foster families within the first 48 hours of foster care placement.
Family Resource Center – provides families at risk of entering foster care with the resources and support they need to stay together.
Transition-Age Youth (Bloom Beyond) – helps young people aging out of foster care build independent, successful lives.
“This grant represents an opportunity for new growth across our organization—but it is not a general funding source,” said Becky Davenport, CEO of Bloom. “Every dollar is restricted to the expansion of these three programs, ensuring that we can scale services while maintaining the highest quality of care for children, youth, and families.”
While this grant fuels program expansion, it is your ongoing generosity that sustains Bloom’s daily work—from providing clothing and resources to offering support and a sense of belonging to foster children who need it most.
Together with our community of supporters, this grant will empower us to deepen our impact and reach more children and families than ever before. We are deeply grateful to the Joseph B. Whitehead Child Well-Being Fund for this investment—and to YOU for continuing to stand alongside us every step of the way.
