Bloom is thrilled to announce a new chapter in our leadership. Stephen Porter, CEO of Piedmont Fayette Hospital, has been named Chair of Bloom’s Board of Directors.

Stephen brings more than 25 years of leadership experience and a deep commitment to community service. His impact at Bloom is already significant—during his time as Vice Chair, Stephen helped expand donor engagement and led successful board recruitment efforts, directly enhancing Bloom’s capacity to serve more children.

“Stephen is a well-respected leader in the community with a heart for service,” said Becky Davenport, CEO of Bloom. “His vision, experience, and longstanding commitment to Bloom’s mission will be invaluable as we continue to expand our programs across the state.”

Stephen holds a master’s degree in health administration from the Medical College of Virginia and a bachelor’s degree from James Madison University. He and his wife, Julie, live in Fayetteville and are proud parents to Jacob and Maura.

“Collaborative partnerships with organizations like Bloom amplify the impact of Piedmont’s mission to create healthier communities and support vulnerable populations,” said Porter. “It’s my honor to serve with this outstanding organization that positively touches thousands of lives each year with dedication and compassion for Georgia’s foster children and families.”

We are also incredibly grateful to Mayor Vince Williams for his outstanding leadership and service as Board Chair. His advocacy and guidance helped lead Bloom through a season of growth, innovation, and impact.

Please join us in welcoming Stephen to his new role and in thanking Mayor Williams for his heartfelt dedication to Bloom’s mission.
