This month, Bloom proudly celebrated a significant milestone in our foster care community—10 years of dedicated service from our very first licensed foster parent, Corliss Bryant. In recognition of her extraordinary impact, we honored her with our inaugural Decade Award, a token of our immense appreciation for her unwavering commitment to helping children in foster care thrive.
Since becoming licensed with Bloom a decade ago, Corliss has consistently shown up with compassion, resilience, and a heart full of love. Her care has left a lasting imprint on the lives of countless children and families.
When asked what advice she would offer to new foster parents, Corliss responded with heartfelt simplicity, “You just have to love kids.”
Her personal mantra, “To do better today than I did yesterday,” reflects the mindset she brings to every child she cares for—always striving to grow, give, and provide more.
“Corliss embodies everything that makes a great foster parent—compassion, consistency, and a genuine belief in the potential of every child,” said Bloom’s Director of Foster Care and Prevention Services Pamella Talley. “We’re so honored to have had her with us for the past 10 years, and we look forward to celebrating many more milestones with her.”
